TGS Engineers is seeking to fill an entry-level position in its Raleigh office, located on Hillsborough Street, just down the street from NCSU. TGS Engineers is a multi-discipline engineering and consulting firm that has focused on transportation projects for over 45 years.
TGS offers an excellent opportunity to focus on transportation engineering, this position will be in our Hydrologic/Hydraulic Design Group.
We offer cross-functional training for a comprehensive approach, training by subject matter experts and NCDOT veterans. Working under the supervision of a senior engineer/project manager and with designers to produce plans, specifications, reports, permit submittals and other duties as assigned.
This position will be focused on the development of drainage design solutions for transportation roadway facilities including storm drainage, major drainage structures, traditional and innovative stormwater management devices, as well as erosion and sediment control. Exposure to the preparation of permit drawings for associated environmental impacts to jurisdictional features will also occur. Projects include both public and private sector.
Microsoft Office proficiency is a must. Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must. Knowledge of HEC-RAC, HY-8, Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and Flowmaster, Design of Stormwater Control Measures, etc. would be a plus.
