Taxes, infrastructure spending and political power will be the focus of John Davis’s talk, Political Trends and Public Policy Implications of the National Partisan Divide on Thursday, April 22 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. John will cover the most influential national and state political topics, from the filibuster debate in the equally divided U.S. Senate to remapping of Congressional and Legislative districts in the North Carolina General Assembly. He will discuss the pros and cons of former President Trump’s role in the 2022 midterm elections, as well as the growing influence of federal and state judges over election laws. And, as always, John will find a way to make politics interesting and entertaining.
